1st place in the nationwide art competition „250 prints for Caspar David Friedrich" Greifswald
From 1980 to 1985 I studied at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee. During this time my wife and I bought an old farmhouse on the Baltic coast, which we converted into a gallery and workshop. On an exhibition area of about 400 m² you can now view or purchase numerous paintings and multi-coloured woodcuts.
During your visit, take the opportunity to join a guided tour of HAUS HOPPE – Galerie für Bildende Kunst, where you will be introduced to the artist’s oeuvre and have your questions about craft, composition, art and art history answered. Experience my precious woodcuts, about which the international gallery „ARTES®” writes: „…The painter and graphic artist Olaf Hoppe is one of the best woodcutters in Germany…”.
